AWAKEN CONFERENCE | 2022

We are so excited for our Awaken Conference 2022 coming March 13-15th. We are covering all the costs so this event is totally free for anyone in our community to attend. This year's theme will be "Origins in Genesis" as we take a deeper look into how faith, science and reason all work in amazing harmony in God's creation. 

Doors open at 6:15 PM. Each night will cover a different topic of creation, as well as provide many other interactive elements to keep all ages engaged. Hutch will kickoff the conference Sunday morning at our normal Sunday services (8:30 AM, 10:00 AM and 11:20 AM) and then Sunday - Tuesday evening sessions will be at 6:30 - 8:00 AM. 

All sessions will be recorded and posted on website and YouTube channel the day after the session. Children's Programming and Care will be available every night.

OUR SPEAKER:

Our speaker will be Dr. Thane "Hutch" Ury. Hutch is a gifted communicator and full of passion for this topic! Dr. Thane "Hutch" Ury  (AU ’80, ATS ‘86’), grew up in Asia and is currently Asbury University’s Scholar-in-Residence for Intercultural Studies. He has spent 20+ years in Asia, has taken around 40 trips to China, and speaks Mandarin. After pastoring a Chinese church in NYC, Dr. Ury then took a post in Bethel College’s Bible Department for 15 years before returning to missions and teaching opportunities in Asia. Dr. Ury has a PhD in theology, and as the program’s primary leader he teaches courses, leads devotions, and mentors students throughout the semester. Dr. Ury also speaks for Answers in Genesis as one of their communicators and has a huge passion for teaching on Origins in Genesis.
