Baby & Child Dedication

Baby & Child Dedication

BABY & CHILD DEDICATION

3 STATEMENTS PARENTS ARE MAKING THROUGH BABY DEDICATION

#1: I am promising to raise my child with the principles of God’s Word (Deut. 6:1-10)

God has always entrusted His truths to parents to teach their children. In dedication we are saying, “Lord, I will raise up my child to understand your ways.”

#2: I am desiring that my child come to know Christ as his/her Savior at the earliest possible age. (Mark 10:13-16)

As parents, we cannot make decisions for our children, but we can have a wonderful impact on their lives. As we give them opportunity to hear about Christ and to see Christ in our lives, we will have opportunity to share Christ with them.

#3: I am praying that God will use my child for His glory. (1 Samuel 1:26-28)

The story of Hannah and Samuel is a beautiful truth. As God gave her the gift of a child, she gave her child to the Lord’s service. While every child will not go into full time ministry, dedication is saying, “Lord, please use my child for your glory.”

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE DEDICATION SERVICE

  • Grandparents and family are welcome at the service and will be asked to stand and be recognized for the important part they will play in your child’s life.

  • The pastor would like to meet with you personally at the front  of the Worship Center about 15 minutes before the service.

  • Pictures of the parents and children (grandparents are welcome too!) will be taken immediately following the dedications in the foyer area.

Please contact Lisa Henry at 810-984-5571 or lisah@cwmc.church if you are interested in dedicating your child.
